The Khammam District Armed Reserve Police was established on 1st October 1953 and stationed at Sugglavari Thota, Khammam and the same was renamed as ” CITY ARMED RESERVE” in the year 2016.
- Functionally the CAR Police consists of General, Special operations, Security and Logistics groups.
- It is the Armed force reserve of the Khammam City Police.
- Sanctioned strength of this unit is 558 while the actual strength is 482.
- Providing Force to Guards & Escorts to Union/State Protectees, IAS Officers, IPS Officers, Government Establishments, Courts, Hospitals, Consulate General Offices/Residences, all types of Exam papers.
- Deploying Platoons (Men & Women) daily to zones for various Law & Order administrational duties.
